Planning on coming to Toronto?

Before coming to Toronto there are some important things you need to do to prepare:

1) Passport and Visa

Before you do anything else you should make sure your passport is up to date and you have a visa that will allow you to move to a country. If your passport is not current you will need a new one and it can take several weeks. Keep that in mind! A problem with your visa may cause delays in your schedule!

2) Plan your budget

Try to guess how much you will be spending in Toronto before you come. That way you can prepare some money and when you come it will no longer be a problem or that way, you can decide if you are going to work or not.

3) Think about your living situationIf you are moving to study, it could be interesting to look for a place to live near your school. you will have more facilities and a practical routine. Maybe, you can sleep more every morning! :)

4) Research Canada

Look for information, search about places, educate yourself about Canadian culture. You can find a lot of things about the Canadian way of life, places to visit, and things to do on instagram, youtube and facebook. Learn about the new culture and have fun!

5) Figure out which clothes to bring!

If you're going to visit Canada in spring or summer, when the snow begins to melt and the weather gets warmer, you will need t-shirts, light sweaters and jackets. An umbrella is also useful. But if you're going to visit Canada in fall or winter, when the temperature changes from 10 degrees celsius to minus 20 degrees celsius, you'll need warm sweaters, coats, boots and thermal socks to wear.

6) Packing

If you're going to stay for a long time in Canada, I recommend you to buy a small baggage and not to pack clothes that you rarely wear. If you need something, you can always buy it in Toronto. Otherwise, you'll exceed the weight limit and have to pay tons of extra money!
